Comments

Comments are a large part of this website. You will see that at the end of each story there is a link identified as “Comments”. By clicking on this link you will be taken to a form that allows you to leave a comment as well.

I have two rules. One, to post you need to provide an email address that allows me to identify you. Two, behave yourself. I refer to the Golden Rule when I make these assessments – do unto others as you would like to be treated yourself.

If you want to post anonymously, or under an assumed name or nickname, that is fine. That will be our secret. But a valid email address and making yourself known to me are a requirement.

Calvin - Why Do You Care That No One Knows Your Identity?

There was a recent comment that posed a valid question – why had I not provided coverage of a team that reached the semifinals of the Thompson Fall Classic? Because the user didn’t provide an email address, I did not approve the post and you have not seen it.

I did however contact the coach of the team to discuss the issue and offer suggestions for how we could improve the coverage of their team which I would very much like to do. It boils down to two basic issues – my time (freely provided) and knowledge (measure that as you will). If you would like more coverage, appoint an individual on your team to handle PR with me and this site. Keep me aware of when and where you will be playing or of the success your team is having and we’ll work together to make the community aware of it. That’s the reason for this site. Period.

Questions? Comments, positive or otherwise? My contact information is always available on the About page or you can use the Contact page to reach me. Thank you for reading and a special thanks to those of you willing to take the time to reach out to me and the readers by offering your comments and feedback.
