Drury (8-7-2 overall, 6-6-2 in the GLVC) clinched the No. 8 seed in the GLVC post-season tournament and will visit top-seed Northern Kentucky in Highland Heights, Kentucky next Sunday (Oct. 31) in the first round at a time to be announced.
Saint Joseph’s is now 1-13-2 overall and 1-12-1 in the GLVC.
While Drury took time in pre-game ceremonies to honor its six seniors – Jessie Sanderson, Sarah Colvin-Fritz, Meredith Hall, Kelsy Long, Alyssa Allcorn and Mandi Little – it was a particularly frustrating afternoon afterward for the Panthers.
Total domination and nothing but a tie to show for it.
Drury outshot the Pumas 25-4 in the contest, including 7-0 over the two overtime periods, but couldn’t find the back of the net as Saint Joseph’s keeper Sarah Croskrey came up with nine saves.
Sanderson had two saves in posting her 37th career shutout, a DU record.
The Panthers finish the regular season with a non-conference match at Harding in Searcy, Ark., on Tuesday.
