Central Bulldogs – 2
West Plains Zizzers – 0
Another torrid affair as a pair of closely matched teams fought hard to earn some key points this season. The game was scoreless at halftime despite both teams creating half a dozen opportunities apiece. The Zizzer’s came out hard to start the second half and saw sophomore Dylan York’s shot from 25 yards out ring off the crossbar, before being cleared by sweeper #8. It looked like the Zizzer’s also made a decision to add a man to the attack as York moved up from his central defensive position and began to participate actively in the attack.

It was against this pressure that the Bulldogs won a 50/50 ball at midfield before #17 sent a through ball down the left side. Miguel somehow held off defender Nathan Boys who was stride for stride with him, before unleashing a left-footed shot from just outside the 6 yard box, slipping his shot under the goalkeeper. The Bulldogs capitalized again late in the game as #4, Brian McGarry, was able to break into the box on a counter attack, extending the lead and giving the Bulldogs their first victory of the season.

Jefferson City Jays – 2
Rolla Bulldogs – 0
The Jay’s score ten minutes into the game on a PK and again with just under ten left for the win
