The Tigers score first, on a PK by Katie Pritchard but the Yellowjackets tie the game in the second half on Lindesimith’s goal. The game-winner comes from midfield Erica Combs, assisted by Orielle Thomas while Pritchard adds one more.

Rolla Bulldogs – 1 (PKs)
Camdenton Lakers – 0
In another sign of the growing parity in Ozark Conference soccer, the Lakers extended the Bulldogs to PK’s this evening. The score was knotted at 0-0 through regulation and a pair of 10 minute OT periods, leading to PK’s. The Bulldogs finally sealed the W on the sixth attempt. The Laker fans will be talking for awhile about how close they came to beating the Bulldogs for the first time ever. The Lake Sun Leader foreshadowed the results Tuesday.

Joplin Eagles – 6
Hillcrest Hornets – 0
Kelsey Sanders scored three of the goals for Joplin, which led 3-0 at the end of the first half. Others scoring for the Eagles were Kelly Yount, Chelsea Damer and Lauren Schwab.

Sorry I was a bit late tonight. I was doing some tutoring on complex polynomials and determining their end points. Algebra 2 with my niece who attends Glendale. Rolla Bulldogs – 1
Chealsey Russell scored on a short shot assisted by a header from Paige Blotter off a Katie McLain corner for a 1-0 lead in the first half. The Chiefs extended their lead when Megan Melugin scored on an assist from Russell. Her shot came from near the 18 yard line and was sent to the keeper’s upper right. Rolla cut the lead to 2-1 when freshmen Ellen Spooner connect on a long throw into the 18. As at least one Chief’s player noted on their Facebook page – finally! We clicked and WE KILLED :) Goodbye Rolla! :)

Lebanon Yellowjackets – 3
Parkview Vikings – 2
First half goal by Stephanie Fore. Parkview scored first in the 2nd half, by Emmy Dale from Jessica Maerz, to tie the game. Hanna Winkel scored for Lebanon to regain the lead. Parkview answered again, by Maerz from Melanie Allen, and the game remained tied until the final minutes when Lebanon was awarded a PK for a foul in the box. Winning PK made by Hanna Winkel. Field was not sloppy, but very slick. Both Parkview goals occurred when Lebanon was pushed up, the ball got through the defense, and Lebanon didn’t recover well.

JV tied 1-1. Tying goal made on a PK in the final minutes by Lebanon Freshman Brayli Hall.

Joplin Eagles – 3
West Plains Zizzers – 1
From the Zizzer website – Joplin opened the scoring in the 34th minute. After a Joplin corner kick, West Plains failed to clear the ball. Rachel Lazenby picked up the loose ball and fired a shot to the far corner from near the top of the 18-yard box. 1-0 Joplin. The Lady Eagles would add a second goal in the 38th minute. Lauren Copple’s crossfrom the right side found Stephanie Loden near the back post. Loden headed the ball in for a 2-0 Joplin lead. In the 44th minute, Michelle Esterle carried the ball down the field on the counterattack. Rachel Skelly made a late run into the play. Esterle laid the ball off to Skelly who worked a give and go to Esterle. As she entered the 18-yard box, Esterle sent a shot past Joplin Keeper Randi Russell to cut the lead to 2-1. In the 50th, Kelly Yount knocked it in to make it 3-1 Joplin

Ozark Tigers – 4
Nixa Eagles – 2
The Christian County derby went to the surging Tigers, who opened the scoring in the 30th minute from Brittany Matthews from Erica Hogan’s long range strike. Hogan got one of her own to open the second half followed by Megan Gunnels goal. Senior Stephanie Allen got one back for Nixa only to see Megan Jenisch score for Ozark, from Gunnels. Allen got another to finish the scoring late.

Central Bulldogs – 2 (2nd OT)
Marshfield Blue Jays – 1
Game winner 6 minutes remaining in 2nd overtime.
