3 v 3 INDOOR SUMMER SOCCER LEAGUE
The Springfield SC will be hosting a 3v3 Indoor Soccer League during June. Games will be played in their indoor facility off of Chestnut Expressway, just East of Lake Country Soccer. This is a Youth Soccer program for kids from Pee-Wee (3-4) up to Middle School age. [...]
The Girls Soccer meeting to sign up for grades six, seven eight soccer team (an out-of-school sponsored soccer team that plays at Lake Country in Springfield) originally scheduled for Thursday was canceled due to the weather.
Any sixth, seventh or eighth grade girl wanting more information should contact Brenda Turnbull at 725-6291 or 844-9765.

Sounds like the game last night between Pershing and Catholic was a good battle between two teams that know each other well. It was a 2-1 win for Pershing in overtime, with Mollie Brewer getting the game winner. I’ll let a parent offer a description:

Despite the end of the High School girls season, there seems to be plenty to cover in the Springfield Soccer region. Of particular note, it will be a busy evening at Lake Country Soccer tonight. Catholic and Pershing were rained out tonight, as was the PDL game. The girls will play at 7:30 pm Monday following the last rain-delay of a very wet Spring season.
