The Missouri Soccer Coaches Association has released their All-State Girls squads for the 2011 Spring Season. Congratulations to local representatives who will play in the All-Star game on Thursday – Natalie Smid, Shelby Hatz, Andrea Parker, Amanda White, Carsen Baron, Rebecca Mayus, Emily Ortega. And to the underclassmen recognized this year as well – Nicole Ortega, Megan Goetzinger, Bekah Bade, Lydia Holtmann, Mary Margaret Kirkman.

On an editorial note, with 55 players the Coaches have essentially named 30% of the players to the list. I’d prefer to see a more select list at this level.

Glendale finished 3rd in the recently completed Class 3 State Tournament. District 11 includes Finalist Kickapoo, Ozark, Nixa and Branson. District 12 includes Finalist Willard, Carthage, Joplin and Neosho.
