Sporting Kansas City will again offer a series of youth soccer camps in 2012 for boys and girls of all ages. Camps will be offered to the experienced player ready to take it to the next level as well as the player who is newly developing their skills. Campers who attend sessions at our training center in Swope Park will have the opportunity to observe the Pros at practice. All campers will also receive an adidas t-shirt.

2012 Spring Break Camp
Open to all boys (9-16yrs old) who are currently a part of or looking to become part of the Sporting Juniors program in the future. All players will be evaluated by the Sporting Juniors coaching staff and possibly invited back to future training sessions. This camp is offered to the committed player who wants to be part of U.S. Soccer’s Development Academy as well as the Sporting Juniors. The Sporting Kansas City Juniors are the youth teams that play under the umbrella of Sporting KC of Major league Soccer.

When: Monday, March 12th thru Wednesday, March 14th
Who: Boys Only. Ages 9-16 years old.
Schedule:
· 9am-10:30am: 14-16 years old
· 11am-12:30pm: 11-13 years old
· 1:30pm-3:00pm: 9-10 years old

Pre Try-Out Camp
The Sporting Juniors will host a pre-tryout camp for those players who are interested in trying out for the 2012-13 Sporting Kansas City Juniors teams. This camp will help you sharpen your technical skills and mentally prepare you for tryouts. The camp will be coached by our Sporting Juniors coaches and will take place at the official training grounds for Sporting Kansas City. Campers will also have access to watching the senior team train before or after camp. The fee will include three 90-minute camp sessions as well as a Sporting KC Juniors t-shirt.

Sporting Youngsters & Development Camp
Sporting Kansas City is excited to partner with the City of Independence to host camps at the Independence Athletic Complex in 2012. We will offer camps for both boys and girls, ages four and up. The staff for these camps will consist of Sporting KC’s Juniors coaching staff and other support staff, as well as a few special guests including our mascot Blue!

Boys & Girls Development Camp
The Sporting KC Juniors will be hosting a camp for boys and girls that aspire to play on elite teams and in national leagues. The camp will be geared towards competitive players who play on a top club team in their age group, which means you must have previous soccer experience. This will be a three-day camp that will take place at the official Sporting KC training facility. Each camper will receive an adidas Sporting Juniors T-shirt.

Missouri State Soccer School – 2011 Camp Information

Missouri State Soccer CampNow entering its 19th exciting year, the Missouri State Soccer School is known as one of the finest quality teaching soccer camps in the nation. The Missouri State Soccer School offers players the opportunity to enhance their individual skills and further develop the concepts of team play.

There are a wide range of camps designed to match your child’s needs including:

Boys Jr. Camp, including Commuter and Goalkeeper training, is for Ages 8-12
Girls Camp is for Ages 10-18
Boys Camp is for Ages 13-18.

All campers receive a soccer ball, camp shirt & water bottle. Boys, Girls, & Boys Jr. Individual Campers will also receive a personal planner (Day Campers will receive a player evaluation and certificate of participation.) A closing awards ceremony will be held at the conclusion of each camp.

Southwest Baptist Goalkeeper Camp – July 10-14

SBU Bearcats Goalkeeper CampGoalkeeper Camp (July 10-14, 2011)- This is an intense residential camp for GK’s only! It is geared to teach them the proper technical foundation and to build their game tactically and psychologically. It is a very demanding camp designed for GK’s ages 12 and up.

The Camp will be overseen by Bearcats Head Coach Rob Podeyn. Podeyn’s playing career included a seven-year run as starting goalkeeper for the Long Island Stars of the ASL, where Podeyn was a two-time league MVP. He has also authored three books, Coaching the Complete Goalkeeper, available through World Class Coaching, at www.worldclasscoaching.com. This is Podeyn’s third book, after releasing Dutch Drills for Total Team Training and Coaching the Dutch 4-3-3 previously.

Recent Drury Panther graduate Peter Higgins is running a private camp at Drury in June. It will be focused on technique for the entire hour. He’s mainly looking for boys and girls under the age of 14. The training will be done for one hour, for ten days over a two week period. There will be two different sessions a day, a morning or an early evening session. Training will be offered the week June 13th- June 17th and June 20th- 24th. The Camp pricing entitles the player to attend 10 sessions during the two weeks.

What: Skills Training
When: Daily from 10:00 – 11:00 am OR 5:00 – 6:00 pm
Where: Harrison stadium or Sunderland Field on the Northwest side of the Drury campus, across from Central High School
Cost: $100. Everyone trainee will receive a free tshirt.

The Drury University Soccer Academy offers a wide range of activities in a fun, safe, and skill appropriate environment. Whether you are a beginner learning the game, or have inspirations to play in college, the Drury University Soccer Academy has something for everyone.

Panther Day Academy
This program focuses on technical skills, small sided games, contests, and tactical development. All day campers will go swimming on Drury’s Natatorium. Campers can bring or have the option of purchasing a lunch. Ball and T-shirt included. Registration and more information.

Residential Academy
The residential academy is a specialized technical course designed for the player to achieve their maximum potential. Emphasis will also be placed on specific tactical & technical match related situations in regards to team play. This Academy will also provide a special classroom session for the players to help prepare them for the college recruiting process. Registration and more information

All Camp activity occurs on the Drury University campus, including Baseball, Basketball, Softball and Volleyball offered via Drury Sport Camps.

Players attending this camp will have the opportunity to play in a college type environment with focus on speed of play and competitive games. This camp is for the committed high level players that would like to be challenged and play against other competitive High School athletes.
Staff

Coaching staff will include MSSU’s Head Coach Alese Woolard and Assistant Coach Christina Kleekamp, who both have substantial playing and coaching experiences at all levels which will provide a fun and challenging environment for each participant. Also assisting with the camp will be current MSSU Women’s Soccer Players.

Housing & Roommate Info.
Campers and staff will be housed in air conditioned Blaine Hall on the MSSU campus. The dorms are traditional style with one roommate with restrooms and showers down the hall. You may request a roommate and we will make every effort to accommodate your request, but there are no guarantees. 24-hour supervision will be provided by camp and university staff.

Resident Option: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided along with housing.

Commuter Option: Lunch and dinner is provided. Commuters will participate in all activities of camp starting with Check-in. A commuter’s day will begin at 8:30 a.m. and end when they are released after the evening game.

2011 Miner Boys Prep Soccer Camp – July 30th

Missouri S&T LogoROLLA, Mo. — Missouri S&T men’s soccer coach Joe Ahearn has announced that the 2011 Miner Boys Prep Soccer Camp will take place Saturday, July 30 at the S&T Soccer Field from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

The camp is open for players from the ninth to the 12th grades and costs $50 if the registration form is turned in before July 22; after that date it increases to $60. Campers will receive a camp T-shirt. Due to space restrictions, campers are asked to register by July 23.

“The objective for this camp is to provide the committed soccer player the opportunity to train and be evaluated by the Missouri S&T soccer staff in a competitive training environment,” Ahearn said.

The field sessions will focus on the development of technical and tactical awareness through speed of play, small-sided and 8-vs.-8 games. There will also be information sessions on the recruiting process, player development and the demands of a college student-athlete.

NSCAA Goalkeeper Course At Drury May 14-15

The NSCAA had a very successful course in St. Louis in January and plan on having the Level III either here in Springfield or in St. Louis after the College season. Goalkeeping Level I Diploma
The overall objective of the Goalkeeping Level I Diploma is to explore some of the myths and mystiques surrounding the goalkeeping function. The six-hour course is directed towards the team coach – not the specialist goalkeeper coach. The object is to empower the coach with knowledge and practice methods that will enable the coach to evaluate a goalkeeper in game situations and then design an appropriate practice program for goalkeepers in and outside of team practices. The course includes lecture (theory) and field (practical) sessions.

Course Fee: $45 per candidate

Goalkeeping Level II Diploma
The overall objective of the Goalkeeping Level II Diploma is to create an optimal learning environment for this specialized position. The 12-hour course is geared towards the specialist goalkeeping coach and the team coach looking for in-depth information surrounding the coaching of goalkeepers. The course includes both lecture (theory) and field (practical) sessions. An NSCAA Goalkeeping Level I Diploma is a prerequisite for this course.
