Brionna Halverson Invited to National ODP Camp

Eighteen girls from the US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program (US Youth Soccer ODP) have been invited to participate in the US Youth Soccer ODP Girls 1999 National Camp, June 15-22 at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif. The camp will coincide with the U.S. Under-17 Women’s National Team Camp, and US Youth Soccer players will be evaluated for possible participation in U.S. National Team events.

Players were selected based on noteworthy participation in US Youth Soccer ODP and by recommendation by US Youth Soccer Regional Coaches. US Youth Soccer ODP players will get the chance to improve their playing proficiencies with unique training activities, including two scrimmages against the U.S. U-17 Women’s National Team. Brionna is one of six players from Region II invited to the camp. For those paying attention this year,

she was recognized as a Top Freshman by Kai Raymer at Ozark Sports Zone. As he noted, she set Bolivar’s single-season record in goals (36) and points (77). Halverson sparked a Bolivar offense that scored three or more goals in 14 games.

Bolivar went from 8-7 in 2013 to 19-3 this season, falling 2-0 in Tuesday’s district semifinals to state-ranked Rolla.
