Springfield, Missouri, May 1, 2014 — Six players from the Missouri Elite FC 96 team, coached by Lindsay Paulsell, have made commitments to play college sports this fall.

Sara Marcotte, daughter of Len and Lisa Marcotte, will attend college and play for Chicago State in Chicago, Illinois. The CSU Cougars are an NCAA Division I program and compete in the Western Athletic Conference. Marcotte is a forward/midfielder for Missouri Elite and attends Republic High School. She was first team All- District her freshman, sophomore and junior years; first team All- Conference her freshman, sophomore and junior years; first team All-Region her sophomore and junior years; first team All -Ozarks her sophomore year; third team All State her sophomore year; and, second team All- State her junior year. In addition to being a four- year varsity letterman in soccer, Marcotte was a youth soccer referee and was named Young Female Referee of the Year in 2013.

Andrea Marquez, daughter of Evaristo and Patty Marquez, will attend college and play for Pratt Community College in Pratt, Kansas. The Pratt CC Beavers are a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association and compete in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference. Marquez plays defense/midfielder for Missouri Elite and attends Nixa High School. She was a junior varsity letterman in soccer her freshman year and a varsity letterman in soccer her sophomore and junior years. In addition, Marquez was also an A+ tutor her freshman through senior years at Nixa High.

Bailey Pesek, daughter of Brian Pesek and Angie Woodward, will attend college and play for Drury University in Springfield, Missouri. The Drury Panthers are a NCAA Division II program and compete in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Pesek plays midfield for Missouri Elite and attends Nixa High School. She was first team All-District, All-Southwest her junior year. In addition to being a four-year varsity soccer letterman, Pesek was also involved with Future Business Leaders of America and student council.

Whitney Snow, daughter of Randy and Angela Snow, will attend college and play soccer for Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri. The SBU Bearcats are an NCAA Division II program and compete in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association. She plays defense/midfielder for Missouri Elite and attends Camdenton High School. Snow was second team All-District and second team All-Conference her freshman year. She was second team All-State, Central MO Co-Offensive Player of the Year, first team All-Ozark Conference, first team All-District, and District Co-Offensive Player of the Year her sophomore year. In addition to being a four-year varsity soccer letterman, Snow is also a four-year letterman in basketball.

Paige Townsend, daughter of Bill and Tracy Townsend, will attend college and play for Drury University in Springfield, Missouri. The Drury Panthers are a NCAA Division II program and compete in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Townsend plays midfield/forward for Missouri Elite and attends Nixa High School. She was named first team All-Conference, first team All-District, second team All-Ozarks, and was the leader in assists (17) for southwest Missouri her sophomore year. Townsend was first team All-Conference, first team All-District, and Southwest Missouri All-Region Team Class 3 her junior year. In addition to being a four-year varsity soccer letterman, Townsend was a member of the Drama Club and participated in several musical productions during high school.

Rachel Vilord, daughter of Lisa Kendall and Jeff Vilord, will attend college and play for Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri. Stephens College is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Ahtletics and competes in the American Midwest Conference. Vilord plays defense for Missouri Elite and attends Glendale High School. In addition to being a three-year varsity soccer letterman, Vilord also participates in horseback riding.

Missouri Elite would also like to recognize our additional graduating seniors who have chosen to pursue academic paths in college. Kyrsten Gies (Ozark), daughter of Joe Gies, and Steve and Lisa Roberson, will attend Missouri State University to study accounting. Jessie Rogers (Glendale), daughter of Jeff and Jackie Rogers, will attend Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia.
