Missouri Class 3 District Soccer Playoffs Almost Set

Tonight’s match at Nixa will determine the second seed in District 11 as Branson fell in overtime to Glendale on Tuesday. Tonights result, while it will help set the seeding, sets the table for a rematch between these two teams in the opening (semifinal) rounds of Districts as #4 Ozark will face #1 Glendale.

Looking at Ozark’s schedule, I see that of the 23 games scheduled 14 were against small schools including four Class 1 programs which did not include Springfield Catholic. One win, against Parkview in early September, has come against a Class 3 team. They’ll have two more chances next week against Waynesville and Central. They’ll need strong showings if they hope to get past Glendale.

In District 12, Kickapoo lost to Joplin October 8th following a tough Gateway Classic tournament. They’ll face Class 2 powers Rolla tonight and Carthage next week to wrap up the regular season while Joplin visits Nixa and Rolla. The games will set up the District games but more importantly, determine the Ozark Conference title. Joplin leads the Ozark Conference with a 8-0 record. Rolla will need to get past Kickapoo TONIGHT to have a chance for a share of the title when Joplin visits next week.

DISTRICT 12 at Kickapoo
Nov 5 at 4:30 PM
#1 Joplin Eagles (16-2)
#4 Parkview Vikings (7-12)

Nov 5 at 6:30 PM
#2 Kickapoo Chiefs (11-6)
#3 Central Bulldogs (11-6-1)

FINAL – Nov 8 at 6:00 PM

DISTRICT 11
#1 Glendale Falcons
#4 Ozark Tigers

#2 Branson or Nixa
#3 Branson or Nixa

DISTRICT 10 at Lebanon
Nov 4 at 4:00 PM
#1 Jefferson City (15-3)
#4 Lebanon Yellowjackets (8-10-3)

Nov 4 at 6:00 PM
#2 Waynesville Tigers (9-5)
#3 Camdenton Lakers (7-10)

FINAL – Nov 7 @5:00 PM

DISTRICT 9
This is my best guess, little head-to-head play in this District but Hickman did beat Smith-Cotton via PK’s in early October in a scoreless match. The Bruins are currently ranked #2 in Missouri. The Bruins will wrap up the regular season against Blues Springs South on October 26th.

#1 Rock Bridge Bruins
#4 Smith-Cotton

#2 Blue Springs South
#3 Hickman

Taking a look down the road, Sectionals will be November 12th and the odds are good that it will look very similar to last year with Rock Bridge facing Jeff City and Kickapoo facing Glendale. Winners advance to the Quarterfinal November 16th with the Final 4 on November 22nd.
