Missouri High School Soccer Coaches Poll #1

SoBoCo-Eagles-2013
SoBoCo Eagles celebrate during season opening win

The Missouri High School Soccer Coaches Association (MSHSSCA) have released their second regular season poll of the season.

Class 3 – The Rock Bridge Bruins, who opened the season ranked in national polls but then lost at Class 2 Rolla on September 3rd, are the top-ranked regional team at #6. Jeff City, in District 10, are their closest challengers and would face Rock Bridge in Sectional play. Glendale and Kickapoo, the usual suspects, earned points as well.

Class 2 – The most competitive Class in the Central/Southwest Region with three teams in the Top 6. Rolla, at #3, defeated Helias in the District final last year and will likely face them again this year. It was Carthage however who advanced to the Final 4 with their 2-0 win over the Bulldogs, going on to lose to St Dominic in the Championship.

Class 1 – For the first time since the start of the 2011 season, the Springfield Catholic boys are not at the top of the polls. Only one point separates them from their challenger however. Southern Boone County (SoBoCo) Eagles, who lost to Catholic 0-1 in the 2012 State Final, have started out 4-0 and grabbed the voters attention.
