World Cup Soccer Watch Party – USA vs Algeria

ESPN is pulling out all the stops for its coverage of the USA’s World Cup qualifiers Friday against Costa Rica and Tuesday at Mexico.

The Mexico-USA telecast will feature a one-hour pre-game show originating live from Mexico City, marking the first time ESPN is airing a one-hour pre-game preceding a World Cup qualifying match.

ESPN will use 10 on-air commentators during the six-day window it will preview and cover the matches.

USA vs. Costa Rica: 9:00 pm CDT kickoff

Studio team: Host Bob Ley, analysts Kasey Keller, Alexi Lalas.

Mexico vs. USA: 9:30 pm CDT kickoff

Sideline reporters: Gonzalez (USA) and John Sutcliffe (Mexico);
Studio: Ley, Keller, Lalas and ESPN Deportes’ Jorge Ramos.

Among the features to air will be Jeremy Schaap’s report on Mexican-Americans who choose to play for either country and an essay on the depth and intensity of the Mexico-USA soccer rivalry featuring former Mexico star Jared Borgetti and Lalas (USA).

In addition to the US Men’s games, you can also catch Spain vs Finland today on ESPN2.
