Coming after Wednesday’s successful Clinic in conjunction with Sporting KC, led by MLS Defender of the Year Matt Besler and his teammate Seth Sinovic (both KC natives), the article by the News-Leader offers some insight into the development
The event first took shape in August, when the Nixa Soccer Club traveled to Kansas City to take part in a clinic and watch a Sporting KC match.

Here’s a story on the Tulsa agreement. According to KC Star, it is a six-year partnership and will feature Sporting Kansas City’s technical staff traveling to Tulsa for coaching workshops and mini-clinics for players of all ages. TSC Hurricane coaches will travel with and observe KC’s trip to Orlando for the Disney Pro Soccer Classic.
Sporting Club also added five new area organizations to the Sporting Club Network — a membership of athletes and athletic organizations affiliated with Sporting Club, the parent organization of Sporting Kansas City. Additional organizations participating include: Kansas Rush, Brookside Soccer Club, Puma FC, Smithville Soccer Club and the Kansas City Gaelic Athletic Club.
Players that participate and compete through a Sporting Club Network member organization will receive a Sporting Club patch to wear during competition, as well as access to exclusive clinics and training.
