Sporting Kansas City’s regular season finale on Oct. 24 against the Philadelphia Union at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park will be nationally broadcast on the NBC Sports Network.
Game time is 7:30 pm.
Sporting Kansas City can clinch the Eastern Conference regular season title with a draw or win against the Philadelphia Union on Wednesday night. The draw on Saturday night at New York means Sporting will finish no worse than second in the East and third overall. Besides getting a draw or better on Wednesday night, Sporting could also clinch the East if D.C. United draws or loses against Chicago.
The scenarios for who Sporting would play in the Conference Semifinals is a bit more complicated. Sporting could end up playing any of the other four playoff teams from the East depending on results from the final week of regular season matches. All the scenarios for clinching the East along with possible playoff matchups can be seen at SportingKC.com
The Philadelphia Union will visit LSP for the first time in 2012 on Oct. 24. The teams have met twice this season at PPL Park, with the Union earning a 4-0 victory in the MLS regular season on June 23 and Sporting KC recording a 2-0 win in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup semifinals on July 11.
Playoff tickets are on-sale now although dates and times are TBD.
