Hal Bodon To Be Inducted Into MSSU Hall of Fame

hal-bodon-mssu-lionsVia the MSSU Lions – Missouri Southern unveiled its 2012 Athletics Hall of Fame on Monday, announcing plans to induct three players and a coach in September.

Coach Hal Bodon will join athletes Heather (Hoyle) Sams and Katie (Gariss) Marsh and Eddin Santiago in the hall. The class will be inducted during Hall of Fame Weekend on Sept. 21 and 22. The weekend includes an induction ceremony and dinner on Sept. 21 and an introducing during MSSU’s home football game against Southwest Baptist on Saturday.

Dr. Hal Bodon was the first men’s soccer coach in school history. He led the team from 1976 until 1987. He compiled a career record of 138-74-21 and serves as the namesake for MSSU’s soccer field. He retired from MSSU in 1996 and is currently an adjunct professor at Dixie State University. Read more
