Springfield SC Opens With A Pair of Wins

U15 Boys
Springfield SC – 4
St Louis Scott Gallagher Black – 0
A 39th minute PK save by Brendan Carnahan, SLSG Black, sent the teams into halftime in a scoreless draw but SSC soon stamped this game as their own. Josh Ellerbee nodded home a header in the first minute of the second half and the boys went on to a solid win to open the tourney.


Jacob Moore, from Southern Boone HS, had a hat trick to complete the scoring. His home town paper had a nice story on Jacob Moore recently.

McKenna Cotter scored a brace for the local squad.


U17 Boys

Lou Fusz Weber – 0
The defending champs scored in the 30th on a PK by Turner Adams. It came after Dallas Moses was knocked over in the box.


A pair of goals in the second half ensured the victory. The goals were scored by Levi Pueppke and Evan Garrad. Pueppke moved up to join the squad recently due to injuries.
