Sporting KC Drops Another One to NY

Sporting KC lost its third straight game Saturday night, falling 1-0 to the New York Red Bulls.

Kansas City entered the game tied for the league lead with 10 goals, but they failed to convert on any of their eight shots on goal.

Luke Rodgers scored the game’s lone goal for New York in the 22nd minute.

The game was KC’s sixth in a 10-game road trip to start the year. The loss drops KC to 1-4-1, while New York improves to 4-1-2.

After finishing their last game against New England a man down, KC did not receive any cards against New York. They were unable to muster a goal, however, and remain in last place in the MLS Eastern Conference.
