Tiffany Laughlin gave the Bears the lead in the 11th when she redirected Katelyn Fredrickson’s pass to the far post. OK tied the game in the 21st when the Bears defense stopped, seeing the offsides flag raised. No whistle however and Whitney Palmer equalized.

An own goal in the 28th, following a well-executed set piece by the Bears, gave the Bears their second lead. Tara Bailes header in the 67th, from Nia Williams cross, extended the lead. Very necessary as OU scored in the 81st.
Missouri State keeper Teahan made seven saves to record the victory. The win was the first for the Bears over the Sooners in team history, now 1-3-0 all-time.
Oklahoma brought a three-game unbeaten streak to town. Since dropping their opening match against rival Oklahoma State, the Sooners are 2-0-1. Missouri State hopes to avenge a 3-0 loss in Norman, Okla., a year ago. Friday’s match will mark the Sooners’ first-ever appearance at Plaster Field.
On Sunday at 4:00 pm, the women hosts a Razorback team that is 2-2-0 on the season. The Bears beat Arkansas, 3-2, in double overtime to open the 2006 season, the last time Missouri State defeated Arkansas. Last season, the Razorbacks shutout the Bears, 2-0, in Fayetteville, Ark.
