Capital City Invitational Games – Friday Games Canceled

The Capital City Invitational, hosted by the Jefferson City Lady Jays this weekend at their home pitch at 179 Soccer Park, has canceled their games for this evening. I assume it is due to the severe weather forecasts for today across the state. Saturday’s schedule of 8 games will be played as scheduled.

The Tournament is split into a Red and Black groups.

Red includes Jefferson City, Westminster, Glendale and Cape Central.
Black includes Jeff City Helias, Rolla, Springfield Catholic and Lee’s Summit West.

Lee’s Summit West received 10 points in the Class 3 polls to Jefferson City’s 6 points and are the highest ranked large school teams at the event while Catholic comes in near the top of the small school programs. The Irish won this tournament three years ago (?) and will play Lee’s Summit West and Helias on Saturday, two good games.
