Missouri Girls High School Soccer: Glendale And Catholic Top Regional Teams

The Missouri Soccer Coaches Association has released it’s first in-season poll for the State of Missouri.

District 5 is made up of teams in this area and Southern Kansas City with Harrisonville, Warrensburg and Bolivar all members of the District and all earning points. Bolivar is the defending District 5 Champion while Notre Dame de Sion is the District 6 defending champion, beating Pembroke Hill 4-0 last year before losing to Duchesne in the Semi-Finals at State. Helias and Smithville were Quarterfinalists last year. Helias beat Moberly 2-0 in their District Final last year.

Springfield Catholic beat Southern Boone 2-1 last year in the Quarterfinal, before losing to Trinity Catholic in the semifinal and beating St Pius (KC) in the 3rd place game. This year it looks like Burroughs is the strongest team in District 3, rather than Whitfield, and will likely face Trinity. Barstow and Sacred Heart will battle in District 7 while Bishop Leblond and St Pius (KC) look to District 8 supremacy.
