The 2009 Best of U.S. Soccer Awards will be decided entirely by online fan votes submitted over the next three weeks, and the winners will be announced shortly thereafter (vote now).
As with previous years, fans across the country were called on to nominate finalists for four of the twelve categories. During the past three weeks, the most popular choices for Best Soccer Bar, Best Soccer Specialty Store, Best Soccer Blog, and Best Fan Photo awards became finalists.
It has been an amazing year for all U.S. Soccer teams, with great goals and memorable performances all around. After debuting last year in the Best Goal category, the U.S. Soccer Development Academy gets its own platform this time around with Best Academy Story.
In addition to voting for the Best of U.S. Soccer Awards, fans will also have the chance to vote daily for the prestigious ussoccer.com Athlete of the Year awards, which will be announced later this week.
