Vianney Golden Griffins – 1
After surrendering a goal to the Griffins in the 2nd half this afternoon, the Cadets battled back to tie the game on Carenza’s header (below) via a set piece from sr Captain Austin Tierney, with 8 min remaining in regulation. The Griffin’s created several good opportunities in OT but the Cadets finished. The game winner, scored in the 108th minute was the result ofer captain Austin Tierney’s work in the right corner, going to the endline and winning the 1v1 battle before delivering a ball to the far post that sophomore Bilyeu buried.
The first semifinal will feature the Kewpies vs Cadets playing at 5:00 pm on Friday on Field #1
SLUH Billikens -3
McCluer North Stars – 1
JR Bills get an early goal by #4 who scores on a rebound, only to see the Star’s come back in the 12th and score to tie the game. The Jr Bills scored again late in the first half and in the 46th minute for the final margin.
Lees Summit North Broncos – 1
Park Hill Trojans – 4
The second semifinal will feature the Jr Billikens vs Trojans playing at 7:00 pm on Friday on Field #1
