“Congratulations Reid and Austin on making the ODP regional team. These two players are an example of what it takes to reach the next level, they work hard at every practice and also play hard in every game that I have coached them. It has been good to see their hard work and talent noticed by others.” said Carl Rose Boys Director of Coaching for the Springfield S.C.The Springfield S.C. has produced other Region II ODP players in the past as Graham Basecke (Indiana University) and Heath Melugin (Missouri State) both represented the 1990 Region II ODP Team and Devon Newport (Saint Louis University) was with the 1991 Region II ODP Team.
“Reid and Austin are the next players from a good track record of success by players from the Springfield Soccer Club within the Region II ODP system. It is a testament to the player and their families. It also says a lot about the type of soccer environment created by the Springfield Soccer Club that we continue to produce players from this area who can compete on the national level. No other organization in this part of the state has been able to duplicate that success.” said Jeremy Alumbaugh Director of Soccer Operations for the Springfield Soccer Club. For more information on the USYS ODP Interregionals please visit www.usyouthsoccer.org Contact the Springfield Soccer Club Office at 417-832-1552 for more information on their programs, including the upcoming Boys Tryouts.
