Nebraska-Omaha Mavs – 1
Goalkeeper Randi Russell notched a career-high 12 saves to keep the Missouri Southern Lions close, but Megan Jensen scored in the 24th minute for UNO and the Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks held on for a 1-0 win Thursday afternoon (Oct. 29) in Omaha, Neb. Jensen’s score came at the 24:09 mark of the first half off a free kick from the deep right side of the field.
Russell’s 12 save output gave the Lions (4-13, 2-11 MIAA) a chance to win a match in which they were out-shot 22-2 overall and 13-0 on-goal. Michelle Dimza recorded both of the Lions’ shot-attempts. Jerica Kuncl had a match-high seven shots for the Mavericks (13-4-1, 12-1-1 MIAA).
The Lions will next play at Northwest Missouri State on Saturday afternoon (Oct. 31) at 2 p.m. in Maryville, Mo.

Freshman Olivia Hayes scored her 12th goal of the season in the 33rd minute of Thursday night’s match at Washburn University to help the Truman women’s soccer team win its 11th straight match in a 1-0 win against the Lady Blues.
