New Covenant Warriors – 2
The Warriors came out strong tonight, putting pressure on the Wildcats from the start, earning the payoff when Dylan Corbett converted a pair of opportunities, the first at the 10 minute mark and again around 30 minutes in.
Unfortunately for the Warriors, Cassville found it’s bearings and scored a pair of goals early in the second half, tying the game. The first only minutes in came from senior Matt Angel, followed within the first 10 minutes by senior Jesus Rivera’s goal. The game bogged down between the 18 yard boxes after that as both defenses clamped down. The best opportunity came midway through the second when senior Alysan Burgbacher collected a ball and launched a 30 shot that dropped dramatically before ringing off the crossbar.
Regulation ended in a 2-2 tie that led to overtime which continued scoreless until the 1st minute of the 2nd OT when New Covenant was called for a hand ball in the box, from a Wildcat corner kick. Rivera stepped up to the spot and buried the ball, finishing the game for the Wildcats.

Camdenton Lakers – 2
Rolla Bulldogs – 0
The Lakers continue their run through the Ozark Conference this evening, shutting out the Bulldogs and sealing a top seed for the upcoming District playoffs I suspect. Both goals scored by Jeff Dorhauer, one unassisted and one assisted by Eric Byler. The Lakers are now 7-0 in Conference and have games remaining against Hillcrest and Lebanon who have 1 Conference win between them, when Lebanon beat Hillcrest. Congratulations are probably in order!
