Freshman Emily Jordan (Glendale Falcons) and her Concordia College Cobber’s squad are 8-0 this season and are the only team in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) to qualify for the post-seaston already. The Cobbers are one of only three unbeaten or untied teams in the country. CC joins Trinity (Tex.) and Williams (Mass.) as the only teams without a blemish in 2009.

No.14-ranked Concordia scored a pair of counterattack goals in the first 15 minutes of play against UW-Eau Claire on Sunday and rolled to a 4-0 win in Eau Claire, Wis. The win keeps the Cobbers unbeaten on the year as they move to 14-0-0. The win is also the first for Concordia over UW-Eau Claire since the 1992 season. The Cobbers had dropped four straight to the Blugolds including a 2-0 decision in the first round of the NCAA playoffs in 2006.

Emily is one of six freshman receiving regular playing time for the team, with 3 games started and 10 played overall. She has a pair of assists on the year and

    The Cobbers jumped to #7 nationally in this week’s poll and #1 in the North region.

    Concordia plays in the Des Moines area this weekend. That is the closest they will get to SGF in the regular season.
