At this point in the season, the key question is “are we prepared for Districts?” And if you are fortunate, you are chasing a Conference title as well. So let’s look at the two Conferences to see where things stand.
The Ozark Conference is a nine game marathon, and in my 8 years of watching only 3 teams have taken the crown – Glendale, Kickapoo or Rolla. Glendale has been eliminated from the chase with 3 losses already which leaves five teams chasing the crown. Currently, the Laker’s sit on top:
1. Camdenton, 6-0-0
2. Joplin, 6-1-0
3. Rolla, 5-1-0
4. Waynesville, 5-2-0
5. Kickapoo, 3-2-0
Here’s a list of games that remain and will have a direct impact on the top 5 teams:
10/19 Kickapoo – Waynesville
10/20 Waynesville – Joplin
10/20 Camdenton – Rolla
10/22 Kickapoo – Rolla
10/23 Hillcrest – Camdenton
10/26 Kickapoo – Glendale
10/27 Rolla – Joplin
The home team is listed first. Get out and cheer for your team, make a difference!
For the Central Ozark Conference, it’s a more simple equation:

The Ozark Tiger’s have won the COC Large School Title, with one game remaining. If they win tonight in Webb City, they’ll do it with an unblemished record, providing a boost for the team going into the District 11 playoffs which they will be hosting this year. Even a loss won’t hurt them since they beat Nixa on September 29th, giving them the head-to-head tiebreaker.
10/19 Webb City vs Ozark
10/22 Nixa vs Branson
That leaves Thursday’s game between Nixa and Branson as the game to determine who takes 2nd place in the Large School division.
That leaves the Central Ozark Conference Small Schools and it’s not decided yet!

Nope. The title will be decided next Monday in Bolivar when Catholic visits the Liberators. The same night that Kickapoo and Glendale will renew their rivalry, there will be an excellent small school battle going on in Polk County. The two teams have met once before, a 7-0 win by Catholic on October 13th, part of a string of shutouts the Irish have accomplished this year in the COC. But it’s not decided yet.

Rogersville’s overall record now stands at 5-14, including tournament games
Ozark over Webb City 6-0. Gives Ozark a 6-0-0 record for Conference Play. Undefeated for Conference Championship.
