Took in several High School girls matches late this afternoon. Wasn’t it 70 degrees at this tournament last year? Regardless, the ladies came to play today as all three local teams I took in were winning during the half I attended.

In the High School Girls Gold group
SPRINGFIELD 91/92 (PHOTOS)is 2-0 and at the top of their bracket, followed by MAMBAS who are 1-1. The bracket will be determined at 11:30 am Sunday morning at Cooper #1, I’ll be there for the 1st half to see how it turns out.
MO ELITE FC (formerly JB Marine SGF – PHOTOS) is 1-0-1 and ahead in their bracket against SEDALIA SELECT on goal differential. 9:45 am games for the 4 teams in the bracket will determine who plays the winner of the SSC vs Mamba’s game. The title game will be at 4pm at Cooper #1. By the way, that’s Kelsey Bartell (Nixa 2012) in blue pictured in their game against Futebol Club STL.

In the High School Girls Silver group
TOTAL DEMIZE 91 (PHOTOS) are 2-0 and tied at the top of the group with PREMIER SC ORANGE who have a similar record. Those two teams will face off at 8:00 am Sunday at Cooper #2, likely determining the group winner although each of the five teams in the group plays twice on Sunday. Included in the group are the Lake Country Soccer HS GIRLS ACADEMY team, who are 0-2. FC SPRINGFIELD, a new team in the region coached by Drury Graduate Assistant Coach Stephanie Anderson is 1-1 while the NW Arkansas LIGHTNING are 0-2 after the first day.

SPRINGFIELD SC 95/96 (Under 14 Girls) are 2-0 in the U14 Girls group and will likely play the winner of the KC SELECT CYCLONES vs SLSG NETHERLANDS game (9:30 am, Field 14) in the Final which is at 2:00 pm on Field 16.

SPRINGFIELD SC 98/99 RED (Under 11 Girls, 8v8) are 2-0 and winners of their bracket.

On the Boy’s side, there are 2 area teams locked in battle in their bracket of the U14 Boys Group. SPRINGFIELD SC 95/96 I are 1-0-1 with 14 points which gives them the lead over ROLLA KNIGHTS 95 who have an identical record but 13 points (based upon goal differential).

The SPRINGFIELD SC U13 Boys are atop their bracket, 2-0 with the maximum 20 points. They face the KC FUSION FRENCH in a 12:30 pm semifinal game against a wildcard team to be determined by 8:30 am games on Sunday.

The SPRINGFIELD SC 97/98 U12 Boys (PHOTOS) are in second place in their group with a 1-0-1 record and 13 points.

MO OZARK FUTBAL METRO UTD U12 Boys (8v8) are atop their bracket with a 2-0 record and 17 points.

SPRINGFIELD SC U11 Boys (8v8) are atop their bracket with a 2-0 record and 19 points.

SSC AGAPE, ROLLA KNIGHTS PARKER and SPRINGFIELD SC are all tied with 1-1 records and Agape has 10 points while the other two have 9. They are trailing NORTH ARKANSAS MUSTANGS in the U11 Boys (8v8) Silver Group.

SPRINGFIELD SC 00/01 RED U9 are 2-0 with 20 points in their Group.
