The Panther’s battle back from a deficit for the second straight game. Jack Binns’ 62nd minute goal gave the Bellarmine Men’s Soccer Team a 1-0 lead on No. 6 Drury University, but the Panthers rallied for a pair of goals in a 2-1 overtime decision on Sunday afternoon. Binns connected from ten yards out off a Ross Hopkins cross from the left side. The Panthers were led by Micah Whorton, who scored the equalizer in the 72nd minute off an Andrew Borderlon cross. Whorton then found Steve Wilczewski down the left side of the field in the 96th minute for the sudden death game-winner.

Currently ranked #15 nationally, the NKU will visit Springfield on Friday for a 1:00 pm game against #6-ranked Drury.

Missouri S&T Miners – 5
Kentucky Wesleyan Panthers – 0
Missouri S&T exploded in the second half with a four-goal outburst, leading it to a 5-0 win at Kentucky Wesleyan and vaulting the Miners into fourth place in the Great Lakes Valley Conference standings with four games to play. The Miners posted their biggest goal output in a game since beating the Panthers 5-1 late in the 2003 season, allowing them to post their fourth straight victory. The current four-game winning streak is S&T’s longest since a six-game run to open the 2000 season. Zack Hay, Kickapoo 2008, added an assist in the game as he played in his 10th game of the season.

S&T will host Bellarmine – the team immediately behind it in the standings — Friday at 5 p.m., before Northern Kentucky pays a visit to the S&T Soccer Field next Sunday.
