Subscribe To Your Favorite Teams Schedule In Google

For those of you who pay attention to these details, you know that I maintain several calendars for my use and yours. I collect, and input, all of the high school and college team schedules from the area and publish them under a high school or a college calendar. There’s also a general calendar where I’ve posted Men’s National team games, KC Wizards and general MLS games as well as Champion’s League games (when they were on basic cable and ESPN/ESPN2). That’s how I’m able to track who is playing, what games I can attend, and report on the scores. Lot’s of work, trust me.

Well, Google has heard my plea, and the plea of all of the other sports fans around the world. If you have a Google account, I highly recommend you visit your Calendar and add a few new ones. Here’s Google’s description:

Now, when you look under “Other Calendars,” click “Add,” then “Browse Interesting Calendars” (or use this link to the Calendar directory), you’ll find calendars for hundreds of teams in dozens of sports leagues — everything from the National Football League to the Korean FA Cup.

When you subscribe to your favorite team’s calendar, you’ll see every game listed, updated in real time with the score as the game progresses.

You can also subscribe to a “Contacts’ Birthdays and Events” calendar, which will add all of your contacts’ birthdays to Google Calendar. Data is pulled from your Gmail contacts and your friends’ Google profiles.

As noted, I highly recommend this, they’ve got teams from around the world. I’m subscribed to the US under both FIFA World Cup Qualifiers as well as Men’s National Team – Friendlies. I’ve also added the same set of calendars for Norway and Sweden, as well as Leed’s in the English 1st Division. Who are you going to add?

PS – you can add my calendars as well, or I can help your team add their calendar to the website. Contact me for more information.
