Springfield Catholic High School Annual Summer Soccer Camp

Catholic Camp 2009

Springfield Catholic High School recently completed its’ annual Summer Soccer Camp July 13-16, 2009. For the last three summers soccer players from throughout the Springfield area have come and spent a week learning to play soccer the Fightin’ Irish way. Staff includes high school coaches, local college coaches, local college players and club coaches.

The camp is divided into three sessions with the morning activities having campers from Kindergarten-5th Grade. “Once again we had over 50 younger campers out learning from a great coaching staff which included High School players from Catholic High School giving back to the community.” said Head Boys Coach Joe Kofron. The evening had both a Middle School camp with over 30 players in attendance and a High School camp with over 40 players participating.

A big thank you to Lake Country Soccer for field usage as the Springfield Catholic High School Soccer Field was under renovations for the fall season. We look forward to seeing many of the campers out at the High School games this season. Be sure to visit www.SGFcatholicsoccer.com for all of your Irish Soccer Updates.

The above was submitted with a note indicating that they thought I might need some content for the site due to slow summer posting. I can always use content for the site folks, especially if it means I can help promote your player, team or activity. Send it all in!
