The Springfield Soccer Club Under 23 Men’s Team is set to host its’ first exhibition match of the summer season tonight at 7:05pm as they host the Royal Engineers AFC. The Springfield Soccer Club team roster is full of alumni from the Springfield Soccer Club and local college players who have chosen to make the Springfield Soccer Club their summer home. The Springfield Soccer Club U23 will play 10 exhibition matches throughout the summer from clubs throughout the Midwest.

“Tonight will be an interesting match as our opponent is quite good. Many of them have extensive careers as footballers in England and they will provide us quite a challenge. It is also our first match with only about three weeks of training under our belt so I’m sure we’ll have plenty of first game jitters and such.” Said Jeremy Alumbaugh Director of Soccer Operations for the Springfield Soccer Club.

Tickets are $2.00 for adults and $1.00 for children and can be purchased at the gate. Kick-off at 7:05pm at Cooper #1 at Lake Country Soccer.
