Glendale Falcons Finish 4th At State

Glendale Falcons – 1
Pattonville Pirates – 4
A lone goal by Molly Brewer, midway in the second half, was all the Falcon’s were able to muster in today’s 3rd place match. It could have been a very different match with a bit of luck as the Falcon’s saw Sprouse and Cline break in alone on the Pattonville keeper in the 11th and 23rd minutes respectively, but neither player was able to finish their opportunities. When Pattonville came down the field in the 24th and scored after a scramble in the box, from a long throw-in, the complexion of the game changed. Two more goals for the Pirates in the next nine minutes effectively sealed the result.

Brewer got the Falcon’s back to 1-3 with her hard shot into the roof of the net, after being sent into the box on a ball from Cline, but it wasn’t enough. The Falcon’s never found the rhythm, or the effort, to get back into the match.

Photos will come soon.
