District Playoffs

No surprises yet as the playoffs opened on Friday night. I’ve gotten all of my photos edited and now uploaded to Flickr, scroll down to the game reports from Saturday to see and as usual, click on the photo to be taken to the full set of photos on Flickr. Until my office internet service is turned back on (AT&T cashed the checks but didn’t apply them to the bill so service was turned off, how’s that for a classic #ATTFAIL) I won’t have the smugmug site fully populated so you can purchase photos. Give me a day or two to get caught up.

BTW, I’ll be attending the Glendale HS Graduation ceremony this evening and participating in some parties after wards so no photos tonight. Post game scores on the stories and I’ll update as I find time between beverages and canapes.

Class 3 District 12 opens this evening in Joplin. Games include:
15:30 – Hillcrest (4) vs Willard (5)
17:30 – Central (3) vs Carthage (6)

Class 3 District 11 is off until Wednesday as the Springfield schools graduate

Class 3 District 10 continues in Waynesville
17:30 – #1 Jeff City vs #4 Lebanon
19:15 – #2 Rolla vs #3 Camdenton

At least one local sportswriter is picking Camdenton to go all the way. Update – Jack Hittinger left a comment noting he thought the might win District. The confusion wasn’t his, it was mine. I knew what he meant and no offense to Camdenton, who are chasing their first District title, I assumed my readers would understand that to be the case as well.

Class 2 District 5 continues in Bolivar where the seeding held
16:30 – #1 Bolivar vs #4 Marshfield
18:30 – #2 Harrisonville vs #3 Warrensburg

In Pleasant Hope, the Class 1 District 6 Tournament opens with Catholic drawing a bye
16:00 – Laquey (4) vs Mt View Liberty (5)
18:00 – Greenwood (2) vs Pleasant Hope (7)
20:00 – Joplin McAuley (3) vs Richland (6)

I actually meant that I thought Camdenton won the district. That probably wasn’t too clear…I haven’t seen much other soccer outside that district so I really have no idea that they can “go all the way” as in, win state. Sorry for the confusion.
