Chris Rogers Resigns As Carthage Tigers Boys Coach

Central Ozarks Conference: Nixa Eagles vs Carthage Tigers Excellent story in the Carthage Press today by Cody Dyer on Head Coach Chris Rogers’ decision to resign for personal reasons. The story offers background on that as well as he long time relationship with the team

“I played on the first team, I was an assistant when we won our first district championship, I was an assistant coach when we went to the state tournament for the first time and I was head coach when we won our first district title in Class 3. These are all great accomplishments for this program and I am very proud to have been a part of them.”

Rogers may be resigning as head coach of the men’s program, but he will still be involved in soccer at CHS.

“I am looking forward to spending time with my family in the fall,” Rogers said. “I am also looking forward to the challenge of building a new soccer program for the girls. I will use all my experiences with the boys’ team to try and build a girls’ team that is as successful as our boys’ team.”
