Where will you be this week?

Class 1 Playoffs host their Semifinals this evening. Games at 5pm (Catholic vs Laquey) and 7pm (NCA vs Greenwood). I’ll be there at 7:00 pm tonight for the local derby.

And a special shout out to the Catholic faithful. They had already made the investment in scheduling the Final on Thursday for Cooper #1, offering the finest pitch in the region to the winners. I’ve just received information that they are reaching out to their Class 3 counterparts in District 11.

There will be a fantastic double-header for the region to enjoy on Thursday night with the Class 1 District 6 Final scheduled for 6:00 pm and the Class 3 District 11 Final scheduled for 8:00 pm at Cooper #1! Final details are being sorted out but it looks real folks. Look for more info from your respective hosts soon. That is a gift to the soccer community, putting a pair of big games like that back-to-back. Kudo’s to Catholic, and SPS, for making it happen!

Class 2 District 5 continues in Bolivar tonight with their semifinals. The 5pm game features Bolivar vs Marshfield and the 7pm game will be Monett vs Cassville. Will the Cub’s be able to win their 4th straight game this season between the two teams tonight?

Class 3 playoffs start this evening. District 10 is hosted by the Rolla Bulldogs. The Lebanon Yellowjackets will face the Waynesville Tigers at 5:30 pm this evening with the winner moving on to face #1 Rolla on Tuesday at 4:30 pm. The other semifinal game Tuesday will be #2 Washington vs #3 Camdenton at 6:30 pm. The Finals will be Thursday at 5:30 pm.

District 11 is hosted by the Kickapoo Chiefs. Tonight the #4 Nixa Eagles will face #5 Ozark Tigers at 5pm, followed by #3 Parkview Vikings vs #6 Branson Pirates at 7pm. The semifinals will be Tuesday evening, with #1 Kickapoo facing the Nixa/Ozark winner at 5pm and #2 Glendale will face the Parkview/Branson winner at 7pm. As noted earlier, the Final will be played at Cooper #1 on Thursday evening at 8pm as part of a double-header with the Class 1 Final. W00t!

District 12 is hosted by the Willard Tigers. Tonight #4 Hillcrest Hornets face #5 Neosho Wildcats at 5pm followed by #3 Willard vs #6 Central Bulldogs. The Semifinals on Wednesday will feature #1 Carthage Tigers against the Hillcrest/Neosho winner at 5pm, followed by #2 Joplin facing the Willard/Central winner at 7pm. The Final will be Thursday at 6pm.

There will also be Middle School Playoffs this week. Semifinals are tonight at Cooper #1
6:00 pm – #4 Pershing vs #1 Cherokee
7:30 pm – #3 Nixa vs #2 Irish
The Final will be Tuesday at 7:00 pm, again at Cooper #1.

And in case anyone feels like complaining about the referees or other various and sundry things this week, consider the case of the Avella Eagles before “sharing your concerns”. Hat tip to Bobby J.

The Drury Panther’s are sending both the Men and the Women to the GLVC Final 4 this weekend. I wonder if they’ll flip a coin to see if Coach Bilbao or Coach Swan travel with the Men Women

The #1 Rockhurst Hawks are hosting the Men’s tournament. Friday’s semifinals feature:
5:00 PM – #7 Bellarmine vs. #3 Northern Kentucky
7:30 PM – #4 Drury at #1 Rockhurst
The Championship match will be played on Sunday at noon.

The #1 UW-Parkside Rangers are hosting the Women’s Tournament in Kenosha, WI. Friday’s semifinals feature:
11:30 AM – #6 Indianapolis vs. #2 Northern Kentucky
1:30 PM – #5 Drury at #1 UW-Parkside
The Championship match will be played on Sunday at noon.
