Nixa’s shot goes wide and Brandon sees two players come up just short of running onto a ball that goes thru the 6 yd box as the 1st half whistle blows.
Romero scores a 2nd goal in the 46th, collecting a loose ball in the box as a result of a set piece. 11 scores by redirecting a cross in the 55th. Branson’s Roman Havrylets scores in the 56th with a fine run down the left and more importantly, great 2nd effort leading to his shot from just left of the box. Havrylets gets a 2nd in the 65th, ringing it off the underside of the crossbar, after ? won the ball with a hard tackle near the top of the box. Carlos Reyes scores from 45 yds as the keeper is unable to get back after coming out in a clearance attempt. Branson keeper makes a diving save on final Nixa shot.

Joplin Eagles - 3
From the Joplin Globe: avenging a 6-0 loss, beat the Tigers 3-0 in a nonconference soccer match Thursday night. Joplin, 16-6 overall, led 1-0 at the half on Blake Aggus’ penalty kick. The Eagles received goals in the second half from Daniel McDonald and Chris Jones. Parker Maher and Eli Welch provided assists.
“Our team played hard for 80 minutes,” Joplin coach Ed Miller said. “We lost 6-0 to Carthage for 2nd place in our tournament. “We put together a lot of things,” Miller said. “We have to keep
concentrating.”
Joplin statisics had it with a 20-11 advantage in shots and goalie John McDermid eight saves. Carthage has been seeded first and Joplin second in the Class 3 District 12 Tournament scheduled Nov. 3-6 at Willard.

Thanks Steve for coming to the game. Being new to conference play, I am pretty sure they count us as Co-Champs even though we beat Carthage head to head, we have the same 5-1 record.
