The Liberators took control of their destiny in Monett Monday night, coming back from a one goal deficit to win and establish themselves as the top seed in Class 2 regionally. Monett would open the scoring in the 5th minute when a ball was cleared to the middle of the field . A hard charging Monett midfielder gathered the ball and shot from the 18 to give the Cubs the early lead. The Liberators would tie the game in the 10th minute when freshman Mitchell Waters kept a loose ball in the box alive and was able to get it past two sliding defenders and the keeper. Five minutes later Bradley Stillwagon would connect on a ball from Matt Magana to give the Liberators the winnng goal.
