With Eureka well rested coming off a 4-0 win, and Parkview tired from a 2-1 overtime victory, the Vikings looked a bit flat to begin the match. The score was 0-0 at halftime thanks to solid defense and goalkeeping, but in the second half the Vikings got on the board with about 20 minutes left in the match when Tim Griffin beat the keeper for his fourth goal of the tournament and a 1-0 lead. The Vikings controlled the majority of the second half with hard work and smart passing, but gave up goals in the 74th and 76th minute to lose and take second place in the tournament.
