Oral Roberts University men’s soccer team played to a 1-1 tie against Drury on Monday night at the ORU Soccer Complex to wrap up exhibition play. The Golden Eagles finished the preseason with a 1-0-2 record.
ORU sophomore Vince Tizzone headed a cross from Josh Erickson into the net four minutes into the second half to give the Golden Eagles the 1-0 lead.
Just two minutes later, Drury’s Steve Wilczewski followed a blocked shot to score and tie the game at 1-1 where it finished.
Drury opens the season Saturday by hosting Columbia College in a 5 p.m. match at Harrison Stadium.
