PDL: Tyler Williams Scores For Mississippi Brilla

Mississippi Brilla found that returning to the friendly confines of Longabaugh Field in Clinton, MS on Saturday evening could not have come at a better time. Facing an undefeated Austin Aztex team that had yet to be scored on this season, Mississippi Brilla sent the home crowd of 812 away excited over a 2-0 victory.

The second goal for Brilla came in the 81 first minute when Adam Braun found defender Tyler Williams wide open on the back post to slot an insurance goal into the back of the net. Williams had been on the field for less than a minute before making the run forward. Mississippi killed off the remaining eight minutes and extend Brilla’s home unbeaten streak to 11.

Elsewhere, the KC Brass defeated the Springfield Demize 2-0 on two goals from defender - turned - forward Levi Coleman, who scored once in each half. According to the KC Soccer Review, KC dominated the game overall but Springfield was not without their chances. In the second half Springfield had one good opportunity but otherwise the play was all for KC.

KC now has 10 points and is tied with St Louis and Colorado. The St Louis Lions game against the Des Moines Menace was canceled due to standing water at the Lion’s facility so they have a game in hand.
