Same thing happened to the U-16's vs Lou Fusz. Regulation ended 0-0, 1st OT ended 0-0. 2nd OT end 1-1. We are getting ready for PK's and the officials announce that they played 10 instead of 15 minute OT's so the solution was to play 2 additional 5mins. After the 1st 5 min OT game still tied 1-1. Now it gets crazy. The officials decide to now play an additional 15 minute OT period and disallow the 2nd 10min OT. Lou Fusz scores finally and they end the game after about 2 1/2 hours of soccer. However the final score wasn't 2-1. It is officially 1-0 because each team scored a goal in that 2nd 10minute OT which they basically say didn't count. If you think it sounds like a confusing mess in writing, you should have been there watching it.

As long as I recall, Cup has always been two full 15 minute OT's followed by Pks. This was a different set of officials who made the same mistake. Unbelievable.

I certainly understand the frustration. Don't we all wish the officials never made a mistake!!!! I feel sorry for the kids who are waiting for the final outcome and I feel equally sorry for the 4 officials who were apparently given incorrect information and now look very foolish.

For such an important tournament it is amazing that the people running the tournament don't know their own rules - not fair to the teams that prepare so hard to compete at that level.

Word on the street is that the 15's have to play the last 20 minutes of overtime on Friday due to a mix up in the lengths of overtime periods. They were down 1-0 at the end of two 10 min OT's but since theya re supposed to be 15 minutes, this could very well change.

Regarding the state cup, I see they posted the U13s and SSC came out on top 1-0. The U17s had a bye, so they play on Saturday. The U15s score isn't posted for the SSC game. The other two U15 games from Sunday are posted on the MYSA site so I'm confused.
