The St Clair County Journal brings a mid-season report on the Althoff Crusaders who are playing very well - This year, the Crusaders have higher goals and so far they’re right on schedule. Heading into Monday’s game against Notre Dame at the Columbia Shootout, Althoff was 8-1-1 and had outscored its opponents 57-5. Jenni Hamlin, pictured in the center, is joining the Bears this Fall.
Hamlin, who has one goal and five assists, is in a different role this season.
“I’m playing a new position this year, so I’ve had to step it up a little more,” she said. “I had played midfield previously and I moved from outside to inside defense. I have to control things back there, but our defense is really good and we play as a tight unit and work really well together.”
