Springfield SC Earns First Win At Dallas Cup

The boys came back from a 1-2 deficit to beat the North Texas Strikers today 3-2.

Goals from Bryce Collier, assist by Graham Basecke. Direct kick goal by Devon Newport from just outside the box. Game winner from Tim Griffin, another assist from Graham Basecke.

The Strikers fought hard (7 yellows and a red card according to the report I got) in an effort to get their first win after losing to Tigres (Mexico) yesterday by a 2-4 score. Tigres also beat Orange SC Rage (CA) today. They’ll have an off day on Tuesday while Springfield SC attempts to beat Orange SC Rage.

The weather is as dicy in Dallas as it is here it appears, games may get moved. Here’s the Bracket information. Teams from Region2 include the Ft Wayne Fever who lost to FC Dallas, Tulsa SC tied DeAnza (CA) and Sockers FC Chicago tied Houstonians.

Yesterday’s games were cancelled due to the ran. As it stands now they play at 2pm today and will play the game that they missed yesterday on Thursday.
