Congratulations to freshman goalkeeper Jessie Sanderson (Jefferson City Jays 2007), who was named to the 2nd Team All-American squad this week by the NSCAA. The number 1 goalie played for Tampa, national champions this year.
Apparently I got a rise out of her with my earlier posting of highlights footage shot by a Jeff City parent and posted on YouTube so this time I’ll be gentler. She must not have seen my post last March, lauding the Panther’s for signing her

The Drury website has the announcement and complete list: Drury University freshman goal keeper Jessie Sanderson has been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-America Second Team, the organization announced on Tuesday.
Sanderson helped the Panthers to their best season in the program’s NCAA Division II history by compiling 128 saves and a school-record 12 shutouts as Drury finished 17-5-3 and advanced to the Sweet Sixteen for the first time. Her 0.64 goals-against average also set a new school mark.
The Jefferson City native was also named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Freshman of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year for her rookie season. She will help anchor a DU squad that loses just three seniors off the Great Lakes Valley Conference champions.
