Zizzer Senior Midfielder, Brice Hunt (pictured against Bolivar in the District semi-final) has decided to further his soccer career at Birmingham Southern College in Birmingham, Alabama. Birmingham Southern is a school of about 1,400 students that competes at the NCAA Division III level and is a member of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.
Hunt was a 4-year Varsity Starter for the Zizzers, helping the team compile a record of 60-38-4, including a District Championship and 3rd Place finish in State his Junior year. During his 4 years, Brice played in 102 Games (a Team Record), scored 19 Goals (including 6 Game Winners) and added 25 Assists (3rd All-Time). He is a 2008 Southwest All-Star representative and two-time All State selection. More details are available on the Zizzer Soccer website that announced Brice’s decision. It includes a nice interview Coach Schmitt conducted.
I can also see that I have under represented the Zizzer’s the past two years based upon the scant choice of photos I have. The unbalanced schedules the Ozark Conference has have not helped. But congratulations to Coach Schmitt, Brice and his teammates. Represent!

I had the pleasure of watching Brice extensively his 1st 2 years in HS due to my son being his teammate. In the last 2 years I’ve only seen him play a few times but he’s always been hard working, quiet, skilled, and a true team player. Congrats and good luck.
