Congratulations to the USC Trojans for winning their first Women’s College Cup title this afternoon. The Trojans defeated the Florida State Seminoles 2-0 in the Championship game at Texas A&M. It was the first time the Championship game featured two teams who had never been to the title game since the first game in 1982.

I have to give it up to them. They played well. I wish it would have gotten more coverage.
Worth mentioning that Mizzou nearly knocked off USC in the 2nd round. The Tigers lost 1-0 in 2OT with 5 minutes left — USC’s only OT game of the tournament.
