Kickapoo Chiefs Place Two On Class 3 All-State Squad

The Missouri High School Soccer Coaches Association announce the 2007 Boys soccer All State Teams and final team rankings.

Defensive Player of the Year — Tommy Meyer, SLUH
GK of the Year — Christian Krueger, Rockhurst

Congratulations to seniors Heath Melugin and Zack Hay of the Kickapoo Chiefs. Heath was chosen to the All-State First Team and Zack was chosen Second Team. In addition, juniors Tyler Sinnott of the Rolla Bulldogs and Devon Newport of the Glendale Falcons were chosen Honorable Mention.

Zack and Heath are pictured congratulating each other following the Sectional win over Glendale. They are members of the 4th Annual Southwest All-Star game roster as well.

  1. I have a question. I know Kickapoo had an outstanding season and finished third in the state. I also know Glendale had a strong team. It seems like more players from southwest Missouri should have gotten recognition. What’s up with that?
