Heath Melugin Named to All-Midwest Team

Kickapoo Chiefs vs Glendale Falcons Congratulations to Heath Melugin, named today by the NSCAA to the All-Midwest team. Melugin was a co-captain for the 3rd place Kickapoo Chiefs in the recently completed Missouri State finals. He scored 55 goals to go with 25 assists this season for 135 total points. His play in the State Finals, where he scored three goals, allowed the many coaches in attendance to see his quality of play. He moves from 2nd Team All-State as a junior into the top ranks of players in Missouri and the region. Melugin is also a member of the Region II Olympic Development Program (ODP), part of the 2007 1990 squad along with Tommy Meyer (SLUH), named All-American today and the only two Missouri players on the team.

The following players were also named to the All-Midwest Squad.
Jack Twellman, St. Louis University High
Justin Koehler, Rockhurst High School
Peter O’Neill, Rockhurst High School
Chad Vandegriffe, Chaminade College Prep
David Schwer, Ft. Zumwalt West

Will Bruin, Desmet, was named All-American.

Melugin has verbally committed to play for Division I Missouri State University Bears. He plays for Springfield Soccer Club and his team will participate in the Midwest Regional League this Spring. He’s pictured above in a game against local rival Glendale and club mate Graham Basecke.
