Congratulations to junior Patrick Carver (Parkview 2005) of the Emory University Eagles, who was named Most Valuable Player in the eight team University Athletic Association.
He finished the regular season as the top goal scorer in UAA play with 6 (the record is nine) and finished tied with teammate Patrick McFarland as the Association’s top points scorer with 16 points. Carver earned UAA Rookie of the Year honors and an honorable mention to the all-UAA team in 2005, and was named to the all-UAA second team in 2006. The junior was the only Emory player honored by the UAA this season that had been named to an all-UAA team in previous seasons.
The Eagles, ranked #17 at the end of the regular season, received a first round bye in the NCAA D3 Tournament and lost 0-1 to the University of Redlands in a second round game on Sunday.
